Conceived by an international consortium of independent investors in 2002, WISS was granted official approval as an international school by the Ministry of Education in Beijing in 2004, and the school will begin operation in 2006. The Board of Directors is supported by the Advisory Board of highly esteemed education experts from the United States and Asia. The Board, with input from the Advisory Board and the school’s administration, is responsible for establishing the overall policy and objectives of the school and for insuring that an excellent education is provided to students.

WISS is exploring the programs of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), which include the Primary Years Program, the Middle Years Program, and the Diploma Program, in order to apply for candidacy status.

School Lunch
Lunch and daily snack are provided for students in grades pre-kindergarten and above.  Daily snack is provided for ½ day Nursery students.  The school has contracted an international catering firm to provide nutritious meals of high standard and quality. Nutrition education is part of our curriculum and we work closely with parents to promote healthy eating.The cost of lunches and snacks is included in tuition
