The British School of Nanjing (BSN) is sponsored by The British Schools Group, a non-profit organization that aims to promote quality British-style education world-wide. The school is also an associate member of The East Asian Association of British International Schools (EAABIS), and is registered with the Qualification and Curriculum Authority in the UK (ISN: 1880018).

The British School of Nanjing follows the English National Curriculum as developed by the British Government. It is a standardized programme and is delivered here in Nanjing the same way as any British School worldwide. By choosing a British education for your son or daughter, you can ensure continuity in their education anywhere in the world.

All children are taught in mixed ability classes, with children of the same age. Children may be taught English, Maths or other core subjects in smaller groups if we consider support is needed. There are 2 departments:

 

Early Years: Pre-Nursery (age 2), Nursery (age 3) and Reception (age 4) classes
Primary: Years 1 - 6 (ages 5 - 10)

Registration Period:The British School of Nanjing is an international school and as such is open for admissions the whole year round. We are always delighted to meet with parents and show them around the school.

Notes on Tuition Fees:


1) The school's base currency is RMB, though payment is also accepted in USD at the prevailing exchange rate. The USD fees quoted above serve as an indication only, and are calculated on the basis of 1 USD = 7.8 RMB. This rate is subject to change according to current exchange rates.
2) Tuition Fees for all full day students include the costs of school lunches. School lunches are compulsory for all full-time students. No packed lunches are permitted. No refunds for absent days.
3) Tuition Fees cover the basic costs of education day trips. Residential field trips and some extra-curricular activities will incur further charges.
4) Termly payments are payable at the beginning of each of the 3 terms in the school year.
5) Annual payments are payable at the start of the academic year. No refund available for early withdrawal of the student.

Application Fee

This is a non-refundable fee of RMB 1600 (USD 205) and is required with every application submitted.

Security Deposit

A one-time deposit of RMB 16000 (USD 2050) is payable to secure a school place once the student has been accepted. This is fully refundable upon 3 months advance notification of student withdrawal.

ESL Support Fee

A fee of RMB 12000 (USD 1540) per year is required for all students involved in the ESL support program.

Bus Service

Arranged on request and at school's discretion. Annual fee ranging from RMB 5700 to RMB 9000 depending on distance from school.

School Uniform

All students are required to wear uniform to school. There is also a separate P.E. kit. All uniform sets and individual items can be purchased at the school shop. School uniform sets range from RMB 600 to RMB 1600.

GCA Canadian High School, also known as “Sino-Canada International High School”, is accredited by the B.C. Ministry of Education, Canada, and registered at the Education Bureau of Nanjing Municipality and the Department of Education, Jiangsu Province.

GCA Canadian High School follows the high school curriculum of British Columbia. GCA is established as an offshore high school certified by the B.C. government and is authorized to issue the official high school diploma of B.C. Province to qualified graduates.

All the course delivery is in English and strictly follows the B.C. curriculum. Graduates are qualified to enter all universities and colleges in Canada, US and Commonwealth countries for their postsecondary education. Chinese high school courses are also provided, so that those who want to achieve both Canadian and Chinese high school diplomas may take the additional Chinese classes. These courses are provided by the instructors of Nanjing Foreign Language School. Students who successfully pass the Chinese high school courses are qualified to take Chinese university entrance examinations.
